Chicago Bulls v Boston Celtics - Game One

In the early morning hours on Saturday, Chyna Thomas, the sister of Boston Celtics star Isaiah Thomas, was tragically killed following a one-car accident.

Despite the circumstances he had to deal with on Sunday, Isaiah Thomas still suited up for Game 1 against the Chicago Bulls, but in a losing effort.

On Monday, Celtics coach Brad Stevens stated Isaiah Thomas plans to play in Game 2 on Tuesday against the Buls, then after the game, head to Tacoma, Washington, to be with his family and help complete funeral arrangements for his sister. Thomas did not speak to the media after the team’s film session and short walk-through Monday.

Thomas plans to re-join the team on Friday after his sister’s funeral.
