Russell Westbrook Unfazed By Rockets’ Defense in Game 1: ‘I Can Do What I Want’
Despite being run out of the Toyota Center in Game 1 to the tune of a 118-87 loss, Russell Westbrook isn’t giving the Houston Rockets any props for the way they played defense.
Westbrook was shut down by his nemesis Patrick Beverley, who held the OKC Thunder superstar to only 22 points with nine turnovers on 6-of-23 shooting.
Russ said he isn’t fazed by that one bit.
“(Beverley) is a good defender for their team, but I don’t worry about nobody, how they’re defending. I can pretty much do what I want to do,” Westbrook told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.
Beverley was so in tune with Westbrook during Game 1, he even synchronized his movements during one part of the game.
lollllll i love how amazing of a troll Patrick Beverley is, he out here synchronizing his movements with Russ like a game of ‘Simon Says’ pic.twitter.com/gqGRhbURWK
