After the news came down about former Patriot TE Aaron Hernandez, the last thing another Patriots player wanted to do was dabble in a bit of controversy.
New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola took to Twitter on Wednesday to thank President Donald Trump for the shout-out after he couldn’t make it to the White House trip with his teammates.

Many thought his absence from the visit was a sign of protest, so when he shouted out the President on Twitter, the fan base went off on him. He quickly deleted it.
