Former FSU WR Travis Rudolph’s Dad Shot & Killed Outside of Club
You may not recognize the name, but Travis Rudolph is the same FSU player who made waves on social media after he sat with an autistic middle school student who was sitting alone during lunch time.
Now, the Rudolph family needs as many prayers as possible as they deal with the sudden and tragic death of Travis’ father, Darryl.
“Former Florida State receiver Travis Rudolph’s father, Darryl, died over the weekend.
Darryl Rudolph’s age and time of death are not known at this time.
ESPN West Palm, a radio affiliate in West Palm Beach, first reported late Sunday night that Darryl Rudolph died after being shot while working near a nightclub in the area.
Darryl Rudolph, 55, was shot in the back/neck area in a storage room at Sugar Daddy’s Adult Cabaret in West Palm Beach around 9:30 a.m. Friday. He later died after being transported to St. Mary Medical Center.
Investigators determined Rudolph was at the club repairing items that needed to be repaired when the gunshot came from an adjacent room while another coworker was moving a firearm off a shelf, according to the release.
Family members started posting their condolences to the Facebook page of Linda Rudolph, Travis’ mother, on Saturday night.
Rudolph is projected to be a fifth- or sixth-round pick in the NFL draft, which begins Thursday in Philadelphia.”
Just horrible news as Travis now has to deal with this tragic loss while getting ready to potentially get selected in the NFL draft this week.
