NBA Investigating Rockets Owner for Leaving His Seat to Give Refs an Earful During Game 5 (Video)
The Houston Rockets eliminated the Oklahoma City Thunder with a Game 5 victory on Tuesday night. However, the victory may end up being a costly one for team owner Leslie Alexander.
With the ball live during the final 15 seconds of the first quarter, Alexander got up out of his courtside seat at Houston’s Toyota Center, wandered along the sideline to referee Bill Kennedy, and apparently gave him an earful about what he thought was a missed call on a previous play.
It was one of the strangest things you will ever see. Take a look:
After the game the NBA denied a request by a pool reporter to interview the crew chief. However, the league is apparently investigating the incident.

According to ESPN’s Calvin Watkins, Alexander said he “can’t talk about it” when asked at halftime, but admitted he was “upset, really upset.”
Watkins also reported that Rockets legend Hakeem Olajuwon tried to grab Alexander’s arm to prevent him from walking over to the official, but he was too late.
Something tells me Alexander is going to be writing a check with a lot of zeros in the near future.
