REPORT: Cleveland Browns Set On Myles Garrett With First-Overall Pick in NFL Draft
The 2017 NFL Draft has not yet begun, but the first-round pick is believed to be written in stone for the Cleveland Browns.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, after some debate, the Browns are now set on taking Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett with the No. 1 pick.
Earlier reports indicated that the Browns were torn between taking Garrett or going with North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky, but they opted for the former.
The move should help improve a defense that has plenty of holes, and while it leaves the team without the franchise quarterback that they so desperately need, the Browns do own the 12th pick in the draft as well.
