Hawks Reportedly Offered 4 First-Round Picks For Paul George At The Trade Deadline

Cleveland Cavaliers v Indiana Pacers - Game Four

Amid the many trade speculations throughout the season involving Paul George, the Indiana Pacers weren’t willing to trade away their franchise player, even with a significant deal on the table for him.

The Atlanta Hawks were one of many teams attempting to nab Paul George at the trade deadline, and according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, they were willing to sacrifice four first-round picks in order to acquire him.

Alongside All-Star power forward Paul Millsap, Paul George would’ve given the Atlanta Hawks that one-two punch they needed to propel them deep into the playoffs instead of another first-round exit like they just recently suffered.

George wasn’t the only all-star on the Hawks’ radar, as they reportedly also made an “aggressive” trade offer for the Chicago Bulls’ Jimmy Butler prior to the deadline.
