Calvin Johnson Had Shocking Response to Raiders Star Wanting Him to Unretire & Play For Them
The Oakland Raiders are starting to become a team you will respect for many years to come.
After a breakout season where the franchise saw it’s first winning year since 2002, the Raiders front office wanted to capitalize on that success and keep the winning going.
The most notable move, of course, was signing former Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch, who came out of retirement just so he could play for his hometown team.
That apparently wasn’t all, as Raiders’ offensive tackle Donald Penn explained he attempted to get former Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson out of retirement to play for them as well.
Penn to Calvin Johnson: “Hey, Detroit still got your rights if you came out of retirement?”
CJ: “Man, they ain’t gonna let me go nowhere.”

The fact that he didn’t say no and he knew the team wouldn’t let him go leads you to believe that he would’ve definitely considered playing for the Raiders.
The 6-foot-5, 239-pound Johnson is a guest of the Oakland Raiders in OTAs this week, working with the receivers in an advisory role.
