Predators Get Robbed Of Goal, Penguins Win Stanley Cup (Videos)

The Pittsburgh Penguins have won back-to-back Stanley Cups, but not without controversy.

Early in the second period of tonight’s Game 6, the Predators appeared to open up the scoring when Colton Sissons poked home a loose rebound past Pens goalie Matt Murray. However, it was quickly waved off as the referee had blow his whistle a little too early.

And wouldn’t you know it, there would be no other goals scored until Pittsburgh forward Patrick Hornqvist did this with under two minutes remaining in the third period:

The Pens would eventually add an empty-netter, winning the game, 3-1, and the Stanley Cup Finals series, 4-2.
