REPORT: Golden State Warriors Have Unanimously Decided They Will Not Visit Donald Trump At The White House
Klay Thompson Inviting Lucky Toaster-Wielding Fan To Championship Parade
Back on March 13th, a fan came up to Klay Thompson and wanted him to sign a toaster. It led to one of the greatest photos of the entire year, as Klay just stared in disbelief.
Following that toaster signing, the Warriors immediately ran off a 14-game winning streak, with their only loss for the remainder of the season coming against the Jazz on April 10—a game in which Thompson didn’t play. The Warriors ultimately went 31-2 after Klay Thompson autographed that toaster, en route to winning the NBA Championship over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5.
To show his appreciation, Klay decided to invite that fan and his lucky toaster to the championship parade. He was also asked whether he was still going to buy the entire team toasters after winning it all, but he shot it down.
“I’ll invite the fan, but we were supposed to go 16-0 for everyone to get toasters,” Thompson told the media in the postgame press conference.
“I got a toaster at home,” Draymond Green chipped in. “I don’t want one. I’m good.”
