Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade Prefer Bulls Move On From Rajon Rondo
It took Rajon Rondo a while to get familiar with the team, but when he did, the Chicago Bulls were on the cusp of eliminating the #1 seeded Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs. Then, Rondo got hurt, was forced to miss the remainder of the series, and the Bulls lost 4-straight to end their season.
Rondo’s play in the playoffs wasn’t enough as reports state both Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade are ready for the team to move on from the often controversial point guard, according to RealGM.
“During their meetings with the Chicago Bulls’ front office, both Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade expressed the sentiment that they would like to move on from “Three Alphas” experiment.
While both Butler and Wade have no issue with Rondo personally, they would like the Bulls to have a point guard who could spread the floor.
Chicago can pick up their option on Rondo worth $13.397 million for 17-18.”
Jimmy Butler has been embroiled in many trade rumors so far this offseason, while Wade has made it clear that he’s going to remain loyal to the team, no matter what happens with Butler.
