Los Angeles Lakers Start a #AskLonzo Hashtag & It Goes Terribly Wrong (TWEETS)
Even ‘Sports Illustrated’ Was Fooled by the Fake Woj Twitter Account on Draft Day (Tweets)
For sports reporters, Draft Day is sort of a mess. There is so little going on that everyone wants to be in the first wave to report SOMETHING, so they’re inclined to put too much stock into sources they probably know they shouldn’t. Sports Illustrated found that out the hard way yesterday when they got burned by the fake Adrian Wojnarowski Twitter account.
The account said Paul George was shipped to Boston—not all that unlikely, btw—and everyone, including Rich Eisen and ESPN, seemed to buy it.
This fake Woj account tweeted Paul George was traded to Boston and so many people have been fooled by it…. hilarious. pic.twitter.com/m8JVQjVAS3

At least Eisen got the Butler trade right!
It’s not like they’re breaking Watergate or anything, but they might want to check the names on tweets before they take them as fact.
