Here’s the Moment Conor McGregor First Saw the Mural of Him Knocking Out Floyd Mayweather (Video)
Last week MMA superstar Conor McGregor posted pics of a new mural that depicts him knocking out boxing legend Floyd Mayweather with a powerful left hook. At the time we all just assumed that McGregor had the mural commissioned himself as a way of trolling his opponent ahead of their highly anticipated crossover bout on August 26. However, it turns out this is not the case.
Yes, McGregor was trolling Mayweather with the Instagram pics. But no, he did not commission the mural himself. Turns out the mural was actually commissioned by McGregor’s team as a surprise for the feisty Irishman. The mural is the work of SUBSET Dublin, a multidisciplinary artist collective.
On Monday, McGregor’s team published a video of the exact moment McGregor saw the mural for the first time. In the description they explain that, since Conor is a big fan of visualization, they thought this would help him as he prepares to fight one of the greatest boxers of all time.
Needless to say, McGregor was pleased. Take a look:
Though most experts don’t think McGregor stands any chance against Mayweather, there are a few who think McGregor might actually win. Maybe they were inspired by this painting, too.
