Around this time four years ago, Kevin Durant was named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player.  And while accepting the award, the then-OKC Thunder star made himself a fan favorite by delivering an tearful speech that was highlighted by the moment when he called his mother, “The real MVP.”

In case you don’t remember:

It even became a meme:

Since then, things have changed.  Durant is no longer a beloved member of the Thunder after he ditched the team last offseason for the very club who had just eliminated his team from the playoffs, the Golden State Warriors.

That move has made KD one of the league’s top villains, and you can bet the Thunder and their fans have not yet forgotten Durant’s ugly departure, especially after he led the Warriors to the 2017 NBA title while earning Finals MVP honors along the way.

OKC did receive a nice consolation prize on Monday when their only remaining star, Russell Westbrook, was named the NBA’s MVP.  And one of Westbrook’s teammates, Enes Kanter, decided it would be a good time to troll Durant.

Salty? Or savage?  You be the judge:
