Former NBA point guard Jason Williams made his much anticipated return to the court for rapper Ice Cube’s BIG3 league and it did not go according to plan.

Williams will miss six to eight months after suffering a knee injury in the opening game.

During a conference call on Wednesday, IceCube and Big3 co-founder Jeff Kwatinetz announced the injury.  They also made a few rule changes that will be implemented for this weekend’s games in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Games will be played to 50 points, instead of 60, with halftime coming when the first team reaches 25 points.
