On Friday, the Portland Trail Blazers officially parted ways with center Festus Ezeli after his one and only season with the team, declining to pick up his one-year option.

Ezeli, who never played a game in his only season with Portland, will still get $1 million for next season after making $7.4 million last season.

Ezeli participated in one practice for the Blazers, 0 games, and will walk away with $8.4 million for doing absolutely nothing besides being injured.

Ezeli has a history of problems with both knees that dates back to his time with Golden State—during which he was forced to miss the entire 2013-2014 season as well.
