Attendance Drops at Summer League Without LaVar or Lonzo Ball In The Mix
LeBron James Makes an Ridiculous Amount of Money Just for Posting on Instagram
In this day and age, more and more athletes are making thousands of dollars from different avenues, other than their salaries with the teams they currently play for. Social media and the reach it has for millions of people who utilize it has truly changed the game and athletes are cashing in big time.
One post from an athlete can reach millions of viewers within seconds. Companies know this and they want their product promoted to the most amount of people at once.
For example, a few weeks ago, LeBron James posted a simple workout video of himself jamming out to a song by rapper Tee Grizzley. When TMZ caught up with Tee to get his response, he stated that 25-second video more than tripled his record sales overnight.
Soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo and LeBron James have the most Instagram followers for athletes—at 104 million and 30.7 million, respectively. For these guys to advertise anything, companies have to shell out a bunch of cash just to get their attention.
LeBron makes 10K a post just to advertise a product on Instagram and that’s good for only 10th on the list among all Instagram users.
