When speaking to ESPN during a Summer League game, Mark Cuban revealed one of the first pieces of advice he gave to the Mavs rookie Dennis Smith Jr.

It’s a pretty great piece of advice, so be sure to pay attention:

The outspoken owner had no qualms sharing:

“Always aware of what’s going on around you. And you know, one of the first things after we drafted Dennis, and I’m talking to him on the phone, I’m like, ‘Dude, I went through your Twitter account. It’s time to get on there and DELETE.’

“And so, he went through it. And to his credit, they were gone. He had a lot of stupid stuff on there.”

Not the worst idea in the world. I mean, even our outlet covered the dumb stuff Dennis had tweeted earlier. Maybe this should just be NBA policy instead of a suggestion. Delete your tweets—all of them—when you get drafted.
