Saints Superfan Jarrius Robertson Brings Down the House after Winning the Jimmy V Perseverance Award (Video)
Jarrius Robertson has been a known figure among Saints fans for a while, but he’s just now starting to get national recognition for his amazing fight and inspirational outlook. The 14-year-old has been battling a chronic liver disease since he was six months old, but that hasn’t kept him from cheering hard and inspiring millions along the way.
At last night’s ESPYs, he was honored with the Jimmy V Perseverance Award, and he gave a speech that you certainly wouldn’t expect from a 14-year old with all of the biggest names in sports looking on:
Not only was he dressed to kill, but he was eloquent and calm while speaking to a national audience about his struggle and his hope.
His high-profile has paid off for his family, as he just received a $25,000 GoFundMe donation to help cover the continuing cost of treatment. Not bad, but there’s plenty more to go. So if you can, donate to Jarrius’ cause here.
