Jedd Gyorko of the St. Louis Cardinals sent a two-run homer to center field where a Pittsburgh Pirates fan was sitting, and that fan wanted nothing to do with the souvenir.

So he did what any die-hard baseball fan would do after catching an opposing player’s home run ball—he immediately grabbed the ball and launched it into the Allegheny River, which borders PNC Park.

That fan had the last laugh as the Pirates went on to win the game by a score of 5-2.
