Bruce Bochy Does Post-Game Interview from Iron Throne Ahead of Giants’ “Game of Thrones” Night (Pics)
Look out, Cersei Lannister. San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy is coming for you.
Thursday is “Game of Thrones night” at AT&T Park. Fans with special event tickets to see the Giants take on the Padres will get a limited edition Hunter Pence Game of Thrones bobblehead and a chance to sit on a replica of the infamous Iron Throne. However, Bruce Bochy didn’t feel like waiting until Thursday. So after his team’s 5-4 win over the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday, he held his post-game presser while seated in perhaps the most famous prop in TV history.

While Bochy seemed to enjoy himself for the most part, he did admit that the chair made him a little uneasy:
“Duane Kuiper is the one who got me watching it. The only thing about sitting in this chair – I’ve got to be honest – I know the kings that sit in this chair get killed off. I am a little nervous right now that Larry (Baer) wanted me to sit in this chair.”
Of course, nobody on the Giants is more excited about Game of Thrones night than die-hard fan Hunter Pence. He’s been tweeting about it for weeks:

And why wouldn’t Pence be excited? The dude is getting perhaps the coolest bobblehead in the history of bobbleheads:
The Giants are currently 29½ games behind the Dodgers in the NL West. This bobblehead is literally the most exciting thing they’re going to see for the rest of the season.
Let’s hope they savor it.
