Dana White made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to keep the Mayweather-McGregor hype machine going, and it was easy enough to see, from his canned sound bytes, that even he wasn’t believing what he was saying.

When asked about McGregor’s chances, the best White could muster was, “When you put two people anywhere, and they start throwing punches, anything is possible.”

That’s it. That’s the defense of Mayweather’s chances. Not the most convincing line. But White goes out and sells it nonetheless.

To his credit, White admits that backing McGregor here is pretty laughable, which might not be the best for PPV sales, but he gets a point for honesty, even if his comment about “anything can happen” sort of belies that honesty.

We’ll see soon enough, but, yeah, McGregor’s gonna lose.
