When it became obvious that no team would be willing to sign Colin Kaepernick after his National Anthem protest, most assumed it would take an injury for him to get another shot in the league again.

That opportunity may have come on Wednesday when it was announced that Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco may miss 3-6 weeks with a back injury.

That left the door wide open for the former San Francisco 49ers QB to possibly get signed by a team:

The other quarterbacks on the Ravens’ roster are Ryan Mallett and Dustin Vaughn. That’s not the type of depth you want to be forced to rely on during the season.

Ravens senior offensive assistant Greg Roman has coached Kaepernick in the past and, of course, head coach John Harbaugh can always get whatever info he wants on Colin from his brother Jim.
