After 5 Years as a Fugitive Deadbeat Dad, Ex-MLBer Danny Tartabull Just Got Arrested
Danny Tartabull played in the majors for 14 seasons, so you’d think that covering his child support wouldn’t be an issue…but…you know. Having owed a staggering $275,000 in missed payments, he was convicted as a deadbeat dad in 2011, but in 2012 he failed to meet the terms of his probation, resulting in a sentence of 180 days.
He never showed, so a warrant was issued.
Just this year, on July 24th, the genius called the cops to inform them that his car had been broken into, only to learn that, oh yeah, he’s a fugitive.
They nabbed him and he’s now working with his attorneys to avoid further jail time. He was once the highest-paid player in the MLB after signing a five-year, $27 million deal in 1992.
Good luck with that, Danny.
