LaVar Ball

On Friday, LaVar Ball was back at it again as he made waves on social media after he got into a heated argument with a female official, which led to him receiving a technical foul. He allegedly threatened to pull his team off the court if she wasn’t removed. No one believed it would happen until it actually happened.

It was later revealed that Adidas had the ref removed because of their history, as she was the ref on the court when Ball got a technical foul and walked off the court with his players.

That wasn’t all Adidas was up to on Friday.

The company reportedly pressured referees at their Summer Championship event to not access LaVar Ball any technical fouls because it would damage their relationship with him and any potential deal with Lonzo Ball, a source relayed to ESPN’s Myron Medcalf.

“The source said event officals, supplied by ex-NBA ref Ed Rush’s Court Club Elite group, were told to “put three officials on the game who will keep him in the building” whenever LaVar’s Big Baller Brand team played this week.”

The plan ultimately failed as LaVar was ejected and walked off with his team anyway before the first half could even end. The ‘Big Ballers’ fell to 1-2 on the year.
