Upon hearing the news that the Baltimore Ravens had opted to sign an Arena League quarterback instead of Colin Kaepernick, social media pretty much went into a frenzy.

Jemele Hill, who co-hosts the 6pm hour of SportsCenter, took to Twitter and initially gave her thoughts on the Ravens signing a guy who quit football to be a realtor.

Fair enough. No issue there. But then she replied to a guy in her mentions about Kaepernick comparing modern day police officers to slave patrols way back then.

She stated it was inflammatory, but historically accurate.
