Tampa Bay Buccaneers v New England Patriots

Last week, starting QB Ryan Tannehill went down with a non-contact injury. Everybody immediately feared the worse, as he was already coming off an MCL & ACL injury that ended his season last year.

While Colin Kaepernick’s name came up immediately, rumors quickly spread that the team was looking to sign Jay Cutler. They did so on Sunday, signing him to a 1-year, $10 million deal.

If Cutler decided he didn’t want to come aboard, the Dolphins were set to look elsewhere, like possibly signing former NFL QB and current New York Mets minor-league player Tim Tebow.

It became quite clear that head coach Adam Gase was looking at quarterbacks he had worked with in the past.  He had success with Tebow when they were both in Denver.

Tim Tebow hasn’t thrown a pass in a regular season game since the 2012 season.
