REPORT: Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry Being Investigated For Battery

by: Darrelle Lincoln On  Tuesday, August 8, 2017

Miami Dolphins v Los Angeles Rams

The Miami Dolphins are having a rough couple of weeks. Over the weekend, the team made it official that they were signing previously retired QB Jay Cutler to a 1-year deal.  The move came after starting QB Ryan Tannehill went down with an ACL injury that will have him sidelined for an extended period of time.

On Monday, more bad news followed as star wide receiver Jarvis Landry has an open investigation that involves a battery complaint from earlier in the year.

“Dolphins star WR Jarvis Landry is under investigation for battery … Ft. Lauderdale police tell TMZ Sports.

The alleged battery occurred on April 1, 2017. Landry has not been arrested, or charged with a crime.

A rep for the Ft. Lauderdale PD tells us, “this is an open investigation that has been sent over to the State Attorney’s Office for review.”

A rep for the NFL tells us the league is investigating, saying “the matter is under review.”
