Michael Bennett Continues His National Anthem Protest With Teammate Justin Britt By His Side
Two days after Michael Bennett called for white players to join in on the national anthem protest alongside the black players, it’s happened on two consecutive days.
On Thursday, Chris Long wrapped his arm around Malcolm Jenkins, who had his fist held in the air, during the national anthem. After the game, he stated that he wanted to stand by his teammate as a ‘white athlete’ in the game.
On Friday, while Michael Bennett was seated during the national anthem before the team’s preseason game, teammate Justin Britt came over and put his arm on Bennett’s shoulder to show his support.
