According to ESPN, divisive NFL honcho Roger Goodell is close to an agreement that would see him continue his role as league commissioner until 2024.

The details are scarce at this point, since the NFL no longer needs to publicly disclose his salary. But in 2015, Goodell made almost $32.5 million, so expect this deal to be worth an insane amount of money. He’s currently under contract until 2019.

It’s estimated that Goodell has made about $212 million during his first ten years on the job.

The job might get tougher for Goodell as sentiment continues to swing against the NFL, but I’m sure whatever paycheck he’s about to earn will make his effort worth it.
