Right now, the Houston area and many parts surrounding it are still under water. There are thousands of people who still need to be rescued/  All of this is the result of Hurricane Harvey, which made landfall a few days ago.

There are hundreds of shelters all over the city as many schools and churches have opened their doors to give a warm place to the many displaced Houstonians.

One place that wasn’t opened was the mega church Lakewood, that used to be the Compaq Center, the former home of the Houston Rockets. Clearly there’s enough space for people to be housed, but the doors were closed and no one could understand why.

Reports later surfaced that the Mega church was underwater, but former ESPN analyst Sean Salisbury called BS. He went out with his camera and recorded the scene in and around the church, and it seemed to be fine and flood free.

The mega church has since opened its doors to the public.
