A few months ago, Big Baller Brand released Los Angeles Lakers rookie PG Lonzo Ball’s signature shoe. It was priced at a whopping $495, and social media lost its mind. Many loved the shoe, but they were not willing to spend that much on shoes for a player who has yet to prove himself on the court.

On Thursday, Big Baller Brand decided to release LaMelo Ball’s first signature shoe, Melo Ball 1, and they are priced at $395.

It should be noted that LaMelo is only 16 years old.

Here’s the description of the shoe provided by Big Baller Brand:

The MELO BALL 1′s, are a first of its kind; for a PLAYER that is first of his kind.

Meticulously designed and inspired by basketball prodigy LaMELO BALL.

AN INDUSTRY GAME CHANGER.

Debuting in a low-top cut, the MB1′s are the first signature shoe launched by a high school basketball player.

An Advanced Performance Insoleis embedded throughout the shoe for maximum comfort.

The sleek silhouette of the MB1 offers a rich appearance:

  • Two-tone woven textile with Camo Fly Knit upper.
  • A full bed of shock absorbent material makes the shoe one of the lightest basketball shoes on the market.
