Texas Longhorns Fans Throw Debris on Field as Tom Herman’s Debut Goes Horribly Wrong (VIDEO)
This year was supposed to be different. It was supposed to be the year that Texas finally turned their football program around. Then the first game of the season happened, and it showed nothing had changed.
Former Houston Cougars coach Tom Herman had his debut on Saturday as the No. 23 Longhorns took on an un-ranked Maryland Terrapins squad. And throughout the entire afternoon, it seemed as if nothing could go right for the team.
The Longhorns laid an egg against Maryland. Their defense allowed 51 points against as they open the season with an 0-1 record.
Fans were upset and they showed their frustrations during the game by throwing debris out onto the field.
