LaVar Ball Says Steve Nash Too Short & Slow To Teach Lonzo Anything About Basketball
It feels like it’s been a few weeks since LaVar Ball said something stupid to make people go crazy. He made up for it on Saturday.
LaVar was recently asked for his thoughts on the many rumors that former Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Nash was working out with his son, Lonzo. He pretty much disrespected the former league MVP with his answer.
There’s one rumor I saw this week that I didn’t believe. Is Steve Nash working with Lonzo in any way?
LB: “I’d say no. The reason I say no because if he was, my son would’ve said, ‘You know what I’m working out with Steve Nash.’
“What Steve Nash going to teach my boy? He’s short and slow, man. Come on.”
Nash is currently a consultant for the Golden State Warriors, but if Steve Nash offers help on anything basketball related, then any player should take it from a guy who won back-to-back league MVPs.
The third-leading assist man in NBA history will definitely be a first ballot hall of famer. And LaVar? Well, he’ll go down as the guy who averaged 2.2 points in 26 college games at Washington State in 1987-88.
