Maryland v Texas

After a successful sting at the University of Houston, Tom Herman took his talents to the Texas Longhorns to try and get this program back to the top of the college football ranks.

One game into Herman’s tenure and it’s already turning ugly after the team gave up 51 points to the Maryland Terrapins to lose at home in embarrassing fashion. The fan base was already fed up, as they began hurling debris from the stands onto the field. They couldn’t believe how bad the defense was and how nothing had changed.

Immediately following the game, a twitter account popped up and a hashtag began circulating that said “#FireTomHerman.” It took one game for the fan base to turn their back on their new head coach.

To put this perspective, the Maryland Terrapins had scored 44 total points in their last 4 Big Ten games, until they faced the Longhorns on Saturday.

This is going to be a long year, Longhorns fans.
