Micheal Bennett Says ‘Cop Threatened To Blow My F*CKING HEAD OFF’
Michael Bennett has long been an outspoken figure in the fight for social justice, and that fight was brought to his doorstep two weeks ago following the Mayweather-McGregor fight in Las Vegas. The Seahawks DE said he felt “terrified” and “helpless” following a run-in with police that sounds like something out of a melodrama rather than real life.
Rather than recap his thoughts, here is a statement he made on his Twitter account.

The violence is troubling, but no more or less so than his rationale that it all happened because he was “doing nothing more than simply being a black man in the wrong place at the wrong time.” Bennett’s retained a civil rights attorney in the matter to weigh his legal options. The two-time Pro Bowler has long been a supporter of Colin Kaepernick, and Kaepernick repaid the favor with a tweet of support last night.
This violation that happened against my Brother Michael Bennett is disgusting and unjust. I stand with Michael and I stand with the people. pic.twitter.com/TqXFiso6lk — Colin Kaepernick (@Kaepernick7) September 6, 2017
We’ll see how this unfolds, but if there’s one guy you don’t want to mess with in issues like this, it’s probably Michael Bennett.
