Lance Armstrong is a huge fan of the Texas Longhorns, and he is not having the USC Trojans’ claim that they are 4-0 all-time against UT.

This weekend the Trojans and Longhorns will play each other for the first time since the 2006 Rose Bowl, when Vince Young led the Longhorns to a thrilling 41-38 victory over the Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush-led Trojans. However, as pointed out by ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura, USC’s official game notes claim their program is 4-0 against Texas, not 4-1.

The reason? In 2010 the NCAA ruled that USC had committed “agent and amateurism violations” involving Reggie Bush. As a result, all wins during the regular and postseason were vacated.

Of course, the 2006 Rose Bowl was not a win. That was a big fat L. However, USC sports information director Tim Tessalone insists the program is just abiding by the instructions handed down from the NCAA.

“I have documentation in a letter sent in July 2010 to Wright noting all the changes he instructed us to make, including that losses had to be vacated,” Tessalone explained in an email sent to ESPN. “The letter also states that he had reviewed all our revisions and approved them.”

Apparently the NCAA agrees with this interpretation. Their official records indicate the 2005 Trojans had a record of 0-0.

Lance Armstrong still isn’t buying it, though. The disgraced former cycling legend fired off a furious tweet when he found out USC claims to be 4-0 against the Longhorns.

I’m going to show you a screenshot here, just in case Lance decides at some point to go back and delete it. However, at time of writing it was still live.

Take a look:

In case you were wondering, when Lance says “we were there,” he isn’t kidding. He and fellow Texan Matthew McConaughey were at the Rose Bowl to see the Longhorns upset the Trojans.
