During Week 1 of the season, there were as many as 70,000 Roger Goodell clown towels floating around Gillette Stadium. They were distributed by Barstool Sports before the New England Patriots’ season opener, which the commissioner himself attended.

One of those towels found their way to Tom Brady and he actually signed it.

That Goodell clown nose towel was auctioned off for $6,500 at the annual Matt Light Celebrity Shoot-Out fundraiser on Tuesday.

The towels were meant to poke fun at Goodell after he had Tom Brady suspended for four games last season, only to watch him win the Super Bowl in epic fashion in February.

The Kansas City Chiefs ultimately ruined the entire night after they came into Gillette and spanked the Pats, 42-27.
