UNC Basketball Releases Statement Saying They Will Not Visit Donald Trump at White House

by: Darrelle Lincoln On  Sunday, September 24, 2017

Gonzaga v North Carolina

At this rate, no team will be visiting the current President at the White House.

Amid the ongoing feud between Donald Trump and pro athletes, the college basketball world decided to chime in as well.

The North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team won the National Championship back in April against the Gonzaga Bulldogs, but much like the Golden State Warriors of the NBA, don’t expect them to celebrate that win at the White House.

“North Carolina’s 2017 national championship men’s basketball team will not visit the White House, a team spokesman said on Saturday, though the Tar Heels were invited to visit, as is the custom for teams that win college men’s basketball and football national championships.”

No word on whether or not this decision has anything to do with Donald Trump’s most recent actions.
