Brent Musburger spent almost five decades announcing football games, which probably gives him the right to offer up his opinion on a newcomer. But whereas most of the football-watching public seems to be excited about the Tony Romo era, Brent Musburger isn’t down with Tony’s style.

Speaking on a radio show, Brent said he felt that Romo was constantly “intruding on his play-by-play man” Jim Nantz.

Hmmmmm…. That may be true, but the style the public wants might vary between generations.

Brent seemed unapologetic about this take when he doubled down with a tweet referring to his comments.

Well, Romo’s got fans elsewhere. I think he’ll be alright.
