Friday evening in the state Alabama, President Trump changed a bunch of people’s minds regarding the issue of players kneeling during the national anthem.

On Monday, a photo appeared online showing former Boston Celtics great Bill Russell kneeling with his Presidential Medal of Freedom hanging around his neck. It was a clear sign that the Basketball Hall of Famer supports protesters who are kneeling during the national anthem.

The photo came from an unverified Twitter account, @TheBillRussell, which had no avatar, was created earlier this month and had tweeted only once previously.

Here’s the conversation from Twitter users and the apparent account of the 83-year-old.
