Much like the natural disasters that hit Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico, sports figures are stepping up to the plate to try and ease the pain of those affected by the Las Vegas tragedy—in which a crazed gunman fired at concert goers, killing at least 59 people and injuring over 500 more.

UFC President Dana White wants to help any way he can, so he opened up his wallet and told TMZ Sports that he would be donating $1 million to the Las Vegas victims.

“Dana White tells TMZ Sports … the UFC will donate $1 million to help the victims affected by the Las Vegas shooting.

The UFC honcho said Vegas is his town — it’s where UFC is based and where he lives — and he feels it’s his duty to help the city recover in any way he can.

White is calling on other Vegas moguls to pony up some dough as well — and wants people who live outside the city to know there’s one big way they can truly help out.”
