NFLers Have Different Opinions on Whether Cam Newton’s Comments Were Sexist (TWEETS)
Cam Newton Got Crushed On Social Media For Making Sexist Remark Towards Female Reporter (TWEETS)
Wednesday started out fairly normal for the Carolina Panthers, as the team is still on cloud nine after defeating the defending champs at Foxborough last week. However, things quickly went sour within minutes during a single Cam Newton press conference.
One female reporter asked the Panthers quarterback a question regarding his feelings about one of his receivers and how his route running has improved. That’s when Cam made the dumbest statement imaginable, stating how ‘funny’ it was to hear a female talk about routes.

For those remarks, Cam got absolutely crushed by that reporter as well as everyone else on Twitter:
I don’t think it’s “funny” to be a female and talk about routes. I think it’s my job.

Better get used to it, Cam Newton. We “females” are not going anywhere. We love football, KNOW football, enjoy talking about football.

People like Cam Newton are exactly why I do what I do.

Cam Newton kicks off October’s NFL Wear Pink campaign in a very NFL way.

Unfortunately, Cam Newton’s sexism happens more than people think. We get this from athletes, coaches, colleague, readers, viewers…

Ladies – do not feel forced into defending our sports knowledge. This is on Cam Newton – NOT ON US. Unacceptable in 2017 to go back to this
