Unlike the NFL and MLB, the NBA has rules set in place that requires of their players to stand at attention during the playing of the National Anthem, but Kobe states that rule wouldn’t stop him from taking a knee.

During an appearance on the The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Awards Chatter’ podcast, Bryant was asked a series of questions, one of which that stated whether he would stand or kneel during the Anthem. He said he would kneel.

Bryant was then asked what he would say to Donald Trump. Bryant responded with, “Focus on serving, not leading.”

The question came at the 1:05:50 mark in the interview.
