Titans’ Rishard Matthews Says He’ll Quit Football If NFL Implements Rule Forcing Players To Stand For Anthem

Earlier this week, reports came down that the NFL was strongly considering new rules that would require all players to stand for the National Anthem, amid the controversy that has been going on for over a year now.

 

That new proposed rule change is just too much for Tennessee Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews who took to Twitter on Thursday and stated he would quit the NFL entirely if they implemented this rule that would outlaw protests during the National Anthem.

He has since deleted the tweet, but Twitter folks see all:
