The phrase that Bob McNair used is commonly used in different situations, but in this day and age, you can no longer use it without the threat of backlash of social media.

The Houston Texans owner found that out the hard way when his comments from a closed-door meeting made their way to the masses. Apparently, McNair said, “We can’t have the inmates running the prison,” when referring to NFL players protesting during the National Anthem.

On Friday, he issued an apology for his statement:
