Conor McGregor Challenges Mayweather To MMA Bout: ‘Let’s F*cking Do It’ (VIDEO)
Just when you thought this story was done, Conor McGregor wants another fight with the great one, but on his turf.
The UFC Lightweight champ doesn’t feel like Floyd Mayweather got enough punishment during their mega-fight back in August, so he wants to fight him yet again. But this time he wants the undefeated boxer to step into the Octagon and face him.
He issued the challenge during an interview with Caroline Pearce in Glasgow. The interview took place back in September, but it wasn’t made public until this past Friday.
“What sickens me is that the little motherfucker is retired now. If I had another go with him, under boxing rules, I’d get that win,” McGregor said, according to Alan Dawson of Business Insider. “He had to change his whole approach. With those lessons I learned, with another go around, I’d get it. He’s 50-0 and getting on, I’m not calling him out. I’ll sit back. We’ll see how he gets on with this round of money. Maybe I’ll get another call. Originally he was saying an MMA bout next. That’s what he said before the fight.
“He did say an MMA fight. So if he wants to, let’s fucking do it. There’s not a hope in hell … I’d like to see him come over to our side and have a knock. I earned their respect and put myself out there. Style over to my side and earn our respect now.”
Many experts believe Mayweather gave up the early rounds against McGregor to tire him out, and that’s exactly what happened as Conor ran out of gas in the late rounds and Floyd eventually won by TKO.
