Algerian Soccer Manager Rabah Madjer Insane Tirade Against Journalist

After making appearances at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, Algeria failed to qualify for the 2018 tournament. And that apparently has manager Rabah Madjer pretty upset.

Algeria played a meaningless international friendly against the Central African Republic on Tuesday. They won the game 3-0, but it did not raise Madjer’s spirits. During the post-game press conference, one of Madjer’s players was asked a question by Algerian radio journalist Maamar Djebbour. As the player started to respond, Madjer very politely cut him off, then EXPLODED on Djebbour.

“You are the enemy of the national team,” Madjer said. “You are the enemy of the national team, and I say it in front of everyone: I have respect to you [pointing at the other journalists present], I have none for you [pointing at Djebbour]. SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!”

Djebbour did manage to get a few words in during the tirade, telling Madjer at one point, “You don’t accept criticism!” But Madjer just kept on yelling, eventually telling Djebbour to “retire now and leave the place for young journalists.”

Take a look:

Now that’s a tirade.
