Last week, United States Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman accused U.S. Gymnastics Team doctor Larry Nassar of inappropriate actions, just as former gymnast McKayla Maroney did just last month.

Aly got waves of support from fans, strangers, and even teammates, but there was one teammate who replied to her post and stirred up some controversy in the process.

Gabby Douglas took to Twitter and essentially put the blame on her teammate and other victims of rape by telling them to watch what they wear if they want to avoid situations like this.

“It is our responsibility as women to dress modestly and be classy,” Douglas tweeted. “Dressing in a provocative/sexual way entices the wrong crowd.”

Fellow Olympic gymnast Simone Biles took to Twitter shortly after and blasted her teammate for victim shaming, tweeting the following:

“shocks me that I’m seeing this but it doesn’t surprise me… honestly seeing this brings me to tears bc as your teammate I expected more from you & to support her. I support you Aly & all the other women out there! STAY STRONG.”

After receiving backlash on social media, Douglas stated she didn’t correctly word her reply and she’s “deeply sorry” for coming off like she wasn’t standing by her teammates.

“Regardless of what you wear, abuse under any circumstances is never acceptable. I am WITH you. #metoo,” she added.

There was also this reply to her original tweet that she has yet to respond to as well:
