Married Ex-NBAer Ray Allen Caught Up In Cheating Scandal With Another Man After Being ‘Catfished’
Since unofficially retiring from the league, Ray Allen has been long rumored to be signing with multiple teams over the years. He was never signed, however, and now it is widely assumed his career is finally over.
Not only is his career over, but his marriage might be over as well.
The former Miami Heat/Boston Celtics guard is currently caught in a scandal that involves another man he was sexting—although he thought the man was a woman and was essentially being ‘catfished.’
“Retired NBA star Ray Allen believes he is a victim of “catfishing,” and has asked a court to throw out a case where he is accused of stalking someone he met online.
Allen says Bryant Coleman “pretended to be a number of attractive women interested in” him. In documents filed Tuesday, Allen acknowledges he communicated with who he thought were those women and that he eventually entered into an agreement with Coleman to not disclose details of those conversations.
Allen says that agreement was violated.”
The story continues:
“Attorney David Oscar Markus released a statement saying Allen took legal action in an effort to put an end to threats against him and his family, and that Allen was the victim “of an online scheme to extract money and embarrass him by someone who appears to be troubled.”
“He posted about Ray’s wife, Ray’s children, Ray’s dog, Ray’s homes, Ray’s wife’s restaurant, and numerous other personal items,” read the motion. “Coleman not only posted about these things, he would actually post while physically located inside Ray’s wife’s restaurant in Orlando. And he would make sure they knew it, tagging Ray and his wife on those posts.”
Unfortunately for Allen, this is hardly the first time he’s been caught doing some questionable things, as he accidentally tweeted out a DM he sent to a woman some time ago.
